The Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (“Emergency FML Expansion Act”) and the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (“EPSLA”) were enacted on March 18, 2020 as part of the government’s broader “Families First Coronavirus Response” lawmaking. The requirements of these two Acts became effective on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
