Miner, Barnhill & Galland, along with the law firm of Keller Rohrback LLP and the Anchorage, Alaska office of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, serves as outside counsel to the State of Alaska in litigation relating to the youth vaping and e-cigarette crisis. On November 24, 2020, the State of Alaska filed a complaint against Juul Labs, Inc. and the Altria Group, Inc., the parent company of Philip Morris USA and a major investor in Juul Labs, Inc., alleging that these defendants created and maintained a dramatic rise in youth use of e-cigarettes and resulting public health crisis.
