Jeffrey I. Cummings serves as a panelist with U.S. District Court Judges for the Northern District of Illinois, the Chair of the MIDP Judicial Advisory Committee, and various local attorneys to discuss and evaluate the progress of the pilot program.

“Beginning one year ago, the Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot Program went into effect in the Northern District of Illinois, creating a new set of early discovery disclosure responsibilities and obligations on the vast majority of civil litigants appearing in cases filed in the District. Join us to discuss and reflect on the first year of the MIDP.

Judges Dow and St. Eve will provide a refresher course on the MIDP and how it has worked in its first year. Sheri Mecklenburg, the Chair of the Judicial Advisory Committee on the MIDP, will share the results of the survey responses from attorneys with cases subject to the MIDP.

The event will close with a panel discussion by practitioners from various areas of practice experienced in working under the MIDP, including a discussion of the implications for parties’ eDiscovery obligations.”
