MBG’s

Summer Associate Program

MBG’s summer associate program is designed to give law students a realistic sense of what it means to work at a private public-interest firm, as well as exposure to many of the substantive legal issues on which we work.

MBG summer associates are actively involved in all aspects of our litigation work—from case investigation to discovery and briefing. In recent years, summer associates have played an important role in helping evaluate potential cases and have drafted key portions of briefs. Summer associates often have direct contact with our clients, as well as opportunities to attend depositions, hearings, and trials. The firm can also provide transactional experience to summer associates interested in our nonprofit work. In addition, summer associates are paired with partner and associate mentors, and interact with most of the firm’s 17 attorneys at some point over the course of their summer. Attorneys provide lunch-and-learn sessions on varied subject matters throughout the summer.

Our priority application deadline is August 31, 2023, and we will begin to consider applications on that date. If you have a competing offer and would like us to consider your application before August 31, please email hiring@lawmbg.com. We will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis after August 31, until the posts are filled.
