Grayson joined MBG in 2025 after more than a decade of service in the federal government. He is an experienced litigator in trial and appellate courts whose practice has focused on securing relief for victims of employment discrimination and seeking justice for victims of crime.

Most recently, Grayson was a Senior Attorney Advisor to the Chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from 2021 to 2025. In that role, he advised the Chair on litigation and policy matters under EEOC-enforced laws, which prohibit discrimination and retaliation in the workplace. At the beginning of his career, from 2010 to 2013, Grayson was a Trial Attorney in the EEOC’s Chicago District Office, where he litigated individual and class cases alleging discrimination based on race, sex, and disability.

Grayson also served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois from 2016 to 2021, where he investigated and prosecuted a broad range of federal crimes including fraud, racketeering, public corruption, child exploitation, narcotics, and firearms offenses. He tried multiple cases to verdict and briefed and argued several cases in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Grayson is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and Yale College and also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Elaine E. Bucklo of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

  • Discrimination, Employment & Civil Rights

    Grayson has secured monetary and injunctive relief in federal court for victims of employment discrimination and retaliation. He has also monitored and enforced consent decrees.

  • Fraud

    Grayson has investigated and prosecuted various types of fraud, including a multi-week mortgage fraud trial and a health care fraud investigation that included parallel civil and criminal charges.

Community Service Activities

Grayson is a member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago (LAGBAC) and participates in its mentoring program for law students and recent law school graduates. He is also a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) and has been a panelist at its annual conference.
