He graduated from Michigan Law School in 1968, cum laude, order of the coif, and he was a member of the Law Review. He has spent his time since then litigating virtually every kind of civil case from simple arbitrations to complex class actions. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America every year since its inception. He is included in Who's Who of American Law, and Who's Who of America. Early in his career he was heavily involved in class actions, primarily employment and consumer cases. More recently he has litigated complicated antitrust, consumer and securities cases including serving as co- lead counsel in Wisconsin for the consumer class in the vitamin anti-trust case, acting as one of the principal attorneys in connection with the largest securities claim against Drexel Burnham (recovering in excess of $100 million) and representing a consortium of health insurers against major drug manufacturers for unlawfully interfering with generic competition. Currently, he has been selected to be outside counsel to the states of Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin in a lawsuit against most of the major drug manufacturers in connection with their drug sales to each state's Medicaid programs.
